Depositary Compliance Officer

Depositary Compliance Officer – join our Depositary team 

Are you interested in the fund industry and looking to develop your career within compliance and oversight? Whether you already have experience from fund management, controlling, audit, accounting, or are earlier in your career with a strong interest in financial markets and regulation, we would like to hear from you. 

We are looking for a Depositary Compliance Officer to join our growing depositary team. As part of the team, you will work with independent oversight and control of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), helping ensure that fund operations comply with applicable regulations and industry standards. 

The role offers a unique opportunity to build expertise in the regulatory framework surrounding alternative investment funds while working closely with experienced colleagues in a highly specialized area of the financial industry. 

Key responsibilities 

• Perform independent oversight and controls of AIF operations, including cash flow monitoring, NAV calculations, and investments 

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (AIFM regulations, as well as internal policies) 

• Review and analyze financial information and reporting from fund managers 

• Identify, document, and follow up on deviations and risks 

• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and controls 

• Engage with external stakeholders such as fund managers, auditors, and regulatory authorities 

We are looking for someone who

• Holds a relevant academic degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field 

• Has experience from fund management, controlling, audit, accounting, or another relevant financial role — or is a recent graduate with a strong interest in financial markets and regulatory compliance 

• Has an analytical mindset and enjoys working with data, controls, and problem-solving 

• Is structured, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of assigned tasks 

• Has good Excel skills and is comfortable working with financial data 

• Is fluent in both Swedish and English 

Experience from a depositary function, risk control, compliance, fund administration, or alternative investments is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
